Vegetables are probably the most important food group your body can consume around dinner time. Eating a right amount of them on a nightly basis will keep your body happy and healthy. So, instead of getting fries or taters tots as a side next time your in a rush for dinner, grab some of these delicious vegetables instead!
Broccoli
Broccoli is probably one of the hardest vegetable to get kids to eat and you don’t have to have a kid to know that because we were all there at one point or another. Either way though eating broccoli is one of the healthiest decisions you could make when deciding what to cook with your main dinner next time. Broccoli provides your body with a decent amount of vitamin K and C while also being a huge carrier of potassium and fiber.
Carrots
This orange plant that comes out of the ground is one of my personal favorites when it comes to vegetables. Whether its carrot soup, baby carrots or cooked carrots, there are a plethora of meals you can create using them. Additionally, Carrots provide your body with a strong source of vitamin A as well as antioxidants and other nutrients needed to live a healthy lifestyle.
Corn
The Corn seed is another one of my favorite variations of vegetables. Corn on the cob is one of my favorite side dishes and I order it a lot at restaurants that provide them. My grandmother makes the best corn on the cob but that’s another story. Corn allows your body to process digestion smoothly and increases your fiber intake to keep your stomach charged up and ready to go. It also promotes healthy vision as it carries two phytochemicals that are of utmost importance when it comes to seeing.
Living a healthy lifestyle is what were all about here at Health Grub. Providing advice to avid readers like yourself is something we pride ourselves on. Nothing would make us happier if more people consumed vegetables on a more nightly basis instead of eating a bunch of junk and grease for your last meal of the day.
