Whether you’re eating at home, at work, or just with your friends on a nice day, lunch is always just as important as breakfast and dinner. Eating lunch allows your body to gain the necessary nutrients it needs and give you that extra boost of energy to finish the rest of your day out until dinner. Here are some healthy tips to help in your lunch preparation:
Pack Your Lunch
Packing your lunch not only saves you some calories and reduces your fat intake, but it is also very kind to your wallet. Packing lunches are always tough because it requires you to take an extra couple mins out of your morning routine to prepare when you’re already in a time crunch. Trust us though, its definitely worth it by the end of the day, those few minutes could help you attain a lifetime of healthy eating and good living!
Get Creative
You don’t have to eat the same thing everyday because that’s boring and is actually unhealthy for your body. So instead of packing the same sandwich with the same side dishes in the same plastic bag everyday, get creative and add different items for each day of the week. For example, maybe on Monday Wednesday and Friday pack a side of your favorite cup of fruit and on Tuesday/Thursday pack some greens to go with your dish of choice. Being creative gives you a different outlook everyday at lunch and presents a healthier living style in the end.
Invest In A Lunch Box
Listen, investing in a Lunch box could be the smartest purchase you can make if you want to maintain healthy eating. Throwing your food in a plastic bag paper bag is cheaper but it doesn’t keep your food fresh and even hurts the environment if it does not get thrown away properly. A lunch box keeps your food fresh and some even have insolated refrigeration to keep your food cold if need be. Plus, you can get a lunch box pretty much anywhere and they’re only about $5-$10.
These tips will hopefully provide you with a better idea of how to eat a healthy lunch. After discussing a healthy breakfast last week and healthy lunches this week. I wonder what we’ll discuss next week???
