Easy 3-Ingredient Breakfast Recipes

Yes, you read that correctly. These quick, easy, and healthy breakfast recipes require only 3 ingredients each!


Let's face it, mornings can be tough. Nobody enjoys waking up early to go to work, school, or whatever it may be. It's easy to skip breakfast when you have a busy life and a million different things on your mind. Making breakfast requires preparation, waking up a little earlier, and taking the time to clean up. However, we all have heard someone say, "but breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" And they are right! Eating a good breakfast jump starts your metabolism, increases energy levels throughout the day, and helps curb the sugar cravings later.


Luckily for you, these 5 breakfast recipes are fast, easy, AND healthy. With only 3 ingredients, it's hard to use the excuse, "I didn't have time for breakfast."

1. Healthy Banana Pancakes

Ingredients:

1 ripe banana
2 eggs
1/4 tbsp cinnamon


Instructions:

Simply mash your banana with a fork, stir in the eggs, and add cinnamon. Pour batter onto a non-stick griddle, brown each side, and your pancakes are ready!


2. Breakfast Cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup Quick Oats
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 bananas

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mash both bananas in a bowl and stir in oats and walnuts (You may opt to add chocolate chips for a less health-conscious version). Roll into balls and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes.


3. Ham and Spinach Omelette

Ingredients:

3 eggs
1 cup spinach
1/4 cup diced ham

Instructions:

Using a non-stick skillet, gently heat ham and spinach. Mix eggs together in a bowl. Add eggs to skillet, brown each side, and your simple, healthy omelette is ready.

4. Portobello Eggs

Ingredients:

4 large Portobello mushrooms (if you don't like mushrooms, swap for bell peppers)
4 eggs
2 tbps grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Crack each egg into a mushroom and top with cheese. Place on an oiled cookie sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes. These can be prepared the night before and reheated in the morning to save time as well. 

5. Breakfast Skillet

Ingredients:

1/2 lb ground turkey
4 eggs
1 cup salsa

Instructions:

Heat up skillet and cook ground turkey completely. Once turkey is cooked, stir in salsa. Crack 4 eggs into the skillet and cover. Heat until eggs appear cloudy white and serve.
